Taylor Hammond Berg, 22, of East Peoria, passed away at 9:02 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Rev. Michael Neubert officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Taylor was born on May 19, 1990 in Peoria, a son of Brad and Crystal (Barrett) Berg.
He is survived by his father and mother both of East Peoria; one sister, Nina (Travis) Kimble of Germantown Hills; one brother, Ian Berg of Pekin; paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Berg of Peoria Heights; maternal grandmother, Darla Barrett of West Peoria; maternal step-grandmother, Beth Barrett of Peoria; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Berg and maternal grandfather, George Barrett.
Taylor graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 2009. He received a certificate from Lincoln College of Technology in Automotive Technology in 2011. He was a sales associate at Batteries Plus in East Peoria.
Berg...That's what was he was called in our family. Oh God.Please help us all through this.Taylor was Matt's friend at Lincoln Tech.He will be deeply missed.I can only imagine what your immediate family is going through, because we consider him extended family and are also hurting so deeply. May he rest in peace and may God bring you strength and comfort through this most difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

To Ian and Crystal, I'm so sorry to hear about about Taylor. I remember coming over to your house every day during the summer years ago and hanging out with all of you. I know many people loved Taylor and will miss him. My heart goes out to the both of you and your family during this difficult time.
